Agricultural subsidies 2025 – what support can you get?

The year 2025 offers farmers in Poland a wide range of opportunities to obtain funding for the development and modernization of farms. Under the National Strategic Plan and other programs supporting the agricultural sector, non-refundable grants, investment subsidies, and renewable energy financing are available. Below, we present the most important current and upcoming calls for applications.

1. Grants for young farmers

  • Intended for farmers up to 41 years old
  • Maximum grant: PLN 200,000
  • Paid in two installments: PLN 140,000 + PLN 60,000
  • Farming activity must have started no earlier than 24 months before application
  • Call for applications: June 2 – July 31, 2025

2. Development of small farms

  • For farms with an economic size below EUR 25,000
  • Funding: PLN 100,000 (or PLN 120,000 for organic farms or those in short supply chains)
  • Required own contribution: 15%
  • Purpose: machinery, modernization, buildings
  • Call for applications: October 1 – November 28, 2025

3. Animal welfare: cattle and pigs

  • Goal: improving livestock housing and comfort
  • Maximum amount: PLN 150,000
  • Reimbursement: up to 65% of eligible costs
  • Example investments: paddocks, ventilation, herd management systems
  • Call for applications: June 3 – July 4, 2025

4. Agriculture 4.0

  • Support for implementation of modern technologies
  • Grant amount: PLN 15,000 – PLN 200,000
  • Reimbursement:
    • up to 80% for young or organic farmers
    • up to 65% for others
  • Eligible purchases: drones, sensors, robots, IT systems
